A Tradition of Hope

A Message from Our Co-Chairs, Mary Jordan Higgins and Elizabeth Brush, for Trains at NorthPark 2026

We are thrilled to serve as co-chairs for the 2026 Trains at NorthPark benefiting Ronald McDonald House of Dallas (RMHD), presented by Bank of Texas. We are working hard in partnership with staff and Host Committee members to make this the best year yet as we prepare to have another amazing location on Level One of NorthPark Center.

For 39 years, Trains has been a cornerstone event for RMHD, captivating the hearts and imaginations of children and families throughout our community. Since returning to full operations post-pandemic last spring, the House that LOVE built has been busier than ever, offering its FREE lodging, meals, transportation, and other services to an average of 70+ families every day.  RMHD has set a goal of $1.3M to raise from this year’s exhibit to ensure its ability to meet the growing demand for its critical and quality provision of HOPE and a HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME that so many depend on.

Join us in this joyous tradition and help spread the word about this incredible event that offers opportunities for families in our D/FW community to support those families from around the state, country, and world traveling to Dallas for critical medical care for their sick or injured child(ren). Your support, whether as a guest, a volunteer, or a sponsor, makes a vital difference in the lives of many.

We look forward to seeing you over the holiday season in support of this worthy cause!

Choo-Choo Tales & Tunes

Back for its second year, Choo-Choo Tales & Tunes invites families to climb aboard for a whimsical morning of storytelling, music and interactive fun for all ages! Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is excited to bring this special holiday experience back to Trains at NorthPark.

This year, the experience is expanding with interactive music and engaging audience participation designed to bring stories to life and create magical holiday memories for children and families alike.

Art on the Rails

We’re thrilled to bring back Art on the Rails for its second year, featuring a one-of-a-kind fully painted train created by Dallas artist Michael Shellis. Known for his bold graffiti-inspired style, vibrant color palettes and energetic designs, Shellis is transforming a train into a collectible work of art that celebrates creativity, imagination and community.

This unique piece will be displayed at NorthPark and auctioned to benefit Ronald McDonald House of Dallas, with proceeds directly supporting RMHD’s mission to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Art on the Rails continues to blend art, community and holiday tradition in a meaningful and memorable way at Trains at NorthPark.
